Coffee Heroes Needed

Coffee hour teams have formed but are still in need of additional help with bringing goodies, set up and clean up once a month. If you would enjoy being on a team add your name to the signup sheet located in the Narthex on the Welcome Table. October Lecture Series

Body and Soul October lecture series continues each Wednesday beginning October 2 with a meal at 6 pm. The presenter is Leticia Guardiola-Saenz Ph.D. The 7 pm program will highlight the gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. The series will culminate Oct 30 with a summary of all four. Please sign up in the Narthex. Cost -Dinner/Lecture $10 and Lecture only $5. Each meal will feature an entrée, tossed salad, rolls, and dessert. Classics Potluck: Lunch and Learn

Classics Potluck Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, October 9. The featured speak, Brent W. Ruth, of the Law Offices of Brent Williams-Ruth will present general information on Power of Attorney- Medical and Financial, The Importance of Planned Giving- Benefits and Elder Fraud/Scams/Abuse Awareness. Sign up in the Narthex, sheet located on the Welcome Table. 

Polo Shirts Await Pick-Up

If you have ordered and paid for your polo shirt, they are available on the table in the Narthex for pick up. Please initial by your name so we know you have obtained your St. Mary’s gear. If you have not paid for your shirt, please see Rev. Jessie or leave your payment in the envelope prior to taking your shirt. Please make certain you have taken the correct style and size.

Episcopal 101

Episcopal 101 continues this morning at 9:15 am. The class will be held in the conference room for 7 weeks of exploration of our Episcopal heritage. For more information contact Rev. Jessie McKenzie.

Grief Coping Skills

Daughters of the King meets at 7 pm on Monday evenings in the conference room. Our program presenter will be Staci Ellis with the focus on Grief Coping Skills. All women are welcome and for more information call Roberta Newell at 253-753-5958.

Family Wednesday Nights

On two of our upcoming Wednesday night St. Mary’s events, we will be having special activities for our families of all ages! Join us for dinner first (or not) and then we will meet for our fun events! Bring a friend! October 16 we will be hosting a “Messy Church” event based on the movie “Frozen”. This is for kids of all ages, and their parents if they want to join us! October 30 we will be hosting a pumpkin carving event in the cottage. Bring your own pumpkin and tools and we will carve up some fun just in time for Halloween!

God for the Goodness: UTO

The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a personal and family devotional program of the Episcopal Church. It is a way for us to express tangible thanks to God for the goodness in our lives. Little bits adding to a Greater Good. You may pick up a new blue box in the Narthex and embark on an adventure of thankful giving! Questions? Contact Trish Willebrand.

Grounds Work Party

Fall Blue Jeans Sunday grounds clean up day is scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2019. Yard work will begin following the 9 am service and the 10:30 am service. Lunch will be served, and the work party should wrap up by 2:30 pm. Wear your gardening duds and bring your tools.
