There will be a meeting for our Nourish Food Bank Meal Volunteers on Sunday, September 8, at 9:00 AM in the conference room. We will work on plans for serving the meal at the Lakewood food bank on Friday, September 20.  Also, our Lakewood Nourish Food Bank is in need of food donations.  There is a big need for food as children go back to school and families begin the new fall season.  Thanks for your generous support of our Lakewood Nourish Food Bank.

Daughters of the King will meet Monday, September 9 at 7 pm due to the Labor Day Holiday. All women are welcome to attend. If you would like more information, contact Roberta Newell at 253- 753-5958. Watch for the upcoming DOK activities bulletin board in the hallway.

Classics Luncheon Potluck “Arm Chair Travelers” series continues Wednesday, Sept. 11. The Featured trip “Compline Choir in the UK” and the speaker is our Director of Music, Fred McIlroy. Lunch begins at noon

What does it mean to be an Episcopalian?  Why do I worship the way I do? Ever ask yourself these questions? Episcopal 101 is coming this fall. Beginning Sunday, September 15 there will be an adult education class at 9:15 am. The class will be held in the conference room for 6 weeks exploring our Episcopal heritage. Summer Film Series will continue on Sunday evenings through Sept 22 at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. The series features the Ancient Roads from Christ to Constantine. Each segment will be viewed followed by discussion. For more information contact Patric Hayes at 253-847-4903.

Skookum Flats Hike. On Saturday, September 21, A pleasant hike alongside the White River (no access to river) to Skookum Falls and return less than five miles round trip. We will meet at 8:30 AM to carpool or caravan about an hour and a half to the trailhead. Northwest Forest Pass required for parking at the trailhead. Bring water and snacks, and possibly a light jacket. Afterward, a possible trip to a Fire Lookout at Suntop Mountain. any questions, call Frank McCracken 253-475-8387.
