Save the Date…

What does it mean to be an Episcopalian? Why do I worship the way I do? Ever ask yourself these questions? Episcopal 101 is coming this fall. The new start date is Sunday, September 22, there will be an adult education class at 9:15 am. The class will be held in the conference room for 6 weeks exploring our Episcopal heritage. October 27 – Blue Jeans Sunday-Fall yard work party 11: 30 am to 2:30 pm. with lunch. 


Skookum Flats Hike. On Saturday, September 21. A pleasant hike alongside the White River (no access to river) to Skookum Falls and return, less than five miles round trip. We will meet at 8:30 AM to carpool or caravan for about an hour and a half to the trailhead. Northwest Forest Pass required for parking at the trailhead. Bring water and snacks, and possibly a light jacket. Afterward, a possible trip to a Fire Lookout at Suntop Mountain. any questions, call Frank McCracken 253.475.8387.


The New Parish Directory dated September 2019 Volume II (includes a couple of changes) is available on the Welcome Table. Please take one per household. The directory can also be accessed via our website at www.stmaryslw.org


Charisma School of Dance is holding a garage sale in the church parking lot September 21, 2019, from 9 am to 4 pm. Please support the school with their annual fundraising event.


Summer Film Series runs for two more weeks, beginning at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. The series features the Ancient Roads from Christ to Constantine. Each segment will be viewed followed by discussion. For more information contact Patric Hayes at 253-847-4903.


Beginning October 1, 2019, The Rev. Dr. Bill Hardwick will lead the Women’s Bible Study group in the study of Genesis.  The group meets at Saint Mary’s on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 1 to 3 o’clock p.m.  Newcomers are welcome.


Start the school year with a great new habit: thankfulness! The United Thank Offering little blue boxes are available in the Narthex. Retrieve your very own, and embark on an adventure of thankful giving! Return your prayer/thanksgiving/coin-filled box on Sunday, November 24, Christ the King Sunday. Questions?
