Learning for Adults
Christian education is central to the spiritual life of every person. In it, we become mindful of the nurturing love of God. It shapes not only our identity and morals but also influences our vision of the world and our place in it. It challenges our beliefs and prejudices. As we grow, we see God in new and complex ways, and in so doing our spiritual life deepens.
Men’s Bible Study
A Men’s Bible Study meets weekly at St. Mary’s on Tuesday mornings at 8:00 am in the Conference Room. It is led by the members of the group and follows the Episcopal lectionary as a means of picking scripture passages for study and conversation. To learn more about the men’s Bible study or to get involved contact the church office.
Women's Group Bible Study
Women’s Bible Study meets the first and third Tuesday of the month, at 2:00 pm in the Garden Room. The groups use a published study guide to look at a specific book of the Bible, or a theme found within the Bible. The groups meet at the church and meetings last about 1.5-2 hours.
Feeding Body & Soul
St. Mary’s offers on a regular basis (Fall, Winter, and Spring) a dinner and lecture series for adult learning that provides intellectually stimulating conversation on a variety of topics. Well respected leaders in their fields provide relevant and compelling presentations on a weekly basis for periods of 4-6 weeks. See the Events Calendar for meeting dates.
