Summer Film Series begins Sunday, August 11 through Sept 22 at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. The series features the Ancient Roads from Christ to Constantine. Each segment will be viewed followed by discussion. For more information contact Patric Hayes at 253-847-4903.

Have you started to do back to school shopping? If you are buying a new backpack for a child, grandchild, or yourself, would you consider donating your old one so I can give to the Youth Shelter? Same with athletic shoes – you get new and the homeless can have your old! Just drop donations in the box under the name tags. Thank You! For more information contact Bettye Craft at 253-307-5317.

Classics Potluck LuncheonArm Chair Travelers Series is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14 beginning at noon. The featured speaker is Rev. Paul Rietmann. He will share pictures and narrative on his trip to England and Scotland. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex. These potluck programs are open to everyone in the congregation or bring a friend.

St. Mary’s Day Annual Picnic is scheduled for Thursday, August 15, 2019, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Bring a side dish to share. Burgers, hot dogs, buns and beverages will be provided. Games, music, fellowship, and fun guaranteed! See the sign-up sheet in the Narthex. We could always use a few extra hands to help set tables and tear down. If you have questions or want to volunteer contact Linda Collins at 253-468-3646.

The Outdoor Group Hikes Skookum Flats. Please join me in a pleasant easy hike in the woods adjacent to the White River.  This trail is popular for families with smaller kids, and those with dogs (on leash). The trail is less than 5 miles round trip.  Afterward, if the road gate is open, we will be able to drive up to an ‘active’ fire lookout. On Saturday, August 17, we will meet in the front parking lot at 8:30 AM to carpool or caravan.  Drivers should have a Northwest Forest Pass ($5, online). Any questions, please contact Frank McCracken, 253.475.8387.

Show your St. Mary’s Colors! St. Mary’s polo shirts and tote bags with the Episcopal shield are available to order. See the samples and order form on the table in the narthex. Orders will be taken until August 18th. For more information see Rev. Jessie McKenzie in between services.

The Office will be staffed by volunteers the week of August 5th. Emails will be checked once daily. There will be no Parish Posts next Friday. Pat Le Roy will return to the office on Tuesday, August 13.
